When Jagex released the Squeal of Fortune in early 2012, I was dismayed. I knew that a move such as this meant demeaning the game for a massive amount of players, and foresaw nothing but bad news coming from it. Later, with the release of Soloman's General Store and the Sizzling Summer event, which included undeserved and essentially bought experience and overpowered power-ups, my predictions were confirmed, and I began to play less and less of RuneScape. Over the year, more and more annoyances and unfitting things were added to the game, and with the Evolution of Combat, the final blow to RuneScape was struck for me. I stopped playing altogether, and began looking for an alternitive. As events unfolded, I eventually thought back to years before, when I had played a few RuneScape private servers to experiment with things I could not or was afraid to do in the real game. I thought, "Why don't I just try to find a remake?", and so off to Google I went. Several Google searches and some research and reputation checks later, I found myself here, attempting to recreate the 2006 vibe of RuneScape as much as possible by contributing to a wiki dedicated to it.
